Paciello is widely recognized as a teacher/consultant in the area of facilitating access to Web sites; his book is a resource for Internet and Web site developers and employers. Three main outcome objectives are featured on the front cover: 1. Comply with legal mandates--e.g., Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act; 2. Master HTML 4.0 enhancements--e.g., meeting the needs of users with screen readers, etc.; 3. Employ the best tools. The last chapter contains an extensive listing of resources--such as the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Based on his visits to the American Association of Retired Persons' Web site , the author states that seniors are adept at using the Web. Home health nurses find that seniors, with families who rarely visit, often own a computer that they do not know how to use. They cannot afford consultants or lawyers to sue when necessary. Disabled persons with limited Internet experience will find the Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) book Computer and Web Resources for People with Disabilities (CH, Jan'01) easier to read. Paciello's book is recommended for graduate students and Internet professionals. F. Taira; formerly, Loyola University of Chicago
