A companion to the beautiful songbook Go In and Out the Window (1987), this also reproduces material in the museum's collections to accompany 25 carols and songs and their very simple accompaniments, arranged by Dan Fox. The excellent commentary in the first book is unfortunately missing here, and there is somewhat less range in the wonderfully reproduced art, though there is still a splendid variety to enjoy and compare. Many of the songs are spread over several pages, serving the pleasing design but making rehearsal difficult; presumably a willing page-turner can be found when they are shared. A perfect gift book.
