《书目》(Booklist)书评
The second edition of this down-to-earth guide combines basic information with examples of interesting sites. Though the first edition is only three years old, the rapid rate of change on the Internet and the increasing interest in the subject justifies purchase. Librarians, teachers, and parents working with the Internet will find this a handy resource for questions about browsers, search engines, e-mail, news groups, Web pages, virtual field trips, and filters. Fourteen lesson plans suggest practical ideas for teaching students to become skilled, savvy Internet users. Packed with information and ideas, the book is accompanied by a useful CD-ROM that provides Netscape-accessible links to sites related to school subject areas, e-texts, key pals, home-schooling information, Web page design, teaching resources, and online lesson plans. A useful addition to school and public libraries. --Carolyn Phelan
