Two lessons from a college telecourse, each dealing with a variety of mental problems and the how they affect the lives of people who suffer from them. Part 1 (Lesson 23) examines phobias, anxiety disorders, and particularly the symptoms and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Part 2 (Lesson 24) deals with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, and the symptoms and forms of schizophrenia, and asks the question: can some people who suffer from this disease live a relatively normal life?
