As collectibles continue to grow in popularity, one of the distinct areas of specialization that has emerged is that of antique relics from America's old frontier. Though there are countless books about antiques, furniture, glass, and dozens of other objects of America's past, comparatively few--if any--have appeared on items relating to two of this country's most distinct icons: the cowboy and the gunfighter. This is a basic guide showing approximately 600 artifacts from 41 separate categories of cowboy tack, gear, guns, knives, and memorabilia. A price guide supplements the text, providing realistic dollar values for each item based upon today's market.
