《儿童读物杂志》(Horn Book)书评
Short biographies provide a solid introduction to the black cowboy, from Jim Beckwourth, the famous western scout, to six-feet-tall Mary Fields, who lived and worked in the Montana territory in the late 1800s. Although at times there are some confusing transitions between subjects, overall the informative writing is clear. The black-and-white archival photographs are of varying quality. A chronology is included. Bib., ind. From HORN BOOK 1997, (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
