摘要

This volume brings together for the first time essays by younger Taylor scholars. The different bodies of Edward Taylor's poetry -- the Preparatory Meditations, Gods Determinations, Taylor's elegies, and his valedictory poems -- are discussed. Each essay is prefaced with an historical introduction describing the development of a cultural tradition.
