《学校图书馆杂志》(School Library Journal)书评
An indispensable resource. Bauer gives basic, practical information on presenting programs that introduce preschool and primary-grade youngsters to stories and poems and demonstrates related crafts that are easy to prepare and execute (many of them will be familiar to seasoned programmers). Each chapter features one or more read-aloud selections (many of the stories are originals or retellings by the author); a book list of theme-related titles; craft supplies; illustrated, step-by-step instructions; and occasional games, riddles, and activities. The book is organized by theme (e.g., bubbles, friends, houses, rain, and snakes), but also contains a section on general crafts that features old favorites such as a jigsaw puzzle, a doorknob hanger, a paper airplane, and a fortune cookie.-Marilyn Ackerman, Brooklyn Public Library, NY (c) Copyright 2010.
