摘要
Some of the best times and the most memorable events in life are even more special because they are shared with a friend. These fun activities will help friends grow closer, have a great time, and forge memories to share for the rest of their lives. Who could forget their first slumber party when the gang practiced that new dance step all night long, then pigged out a candy bar pizza; or that friendship bracelet that didn't come off until it fell apart one day in the shower? Girlfriends will have tons of fun making banana facemasks, sending E-mail messages in a cryptic cyber lingo, learning about future boyfriends from the Chinese Zodiac, and munching on S'mores.

《学校图书馆杂志》(School Library Journal)书评
Gr 3-6-This book is aimed at girls looking for ideas for crafts, parties, gifts to make, and other projects they can share with their friends. Included are many of the popular group activities often requested by parents, scout leaders, and teachers, all arranged by season. Although few of the ideas are original, it is convenient to have the directions for a Hanukkah dreidel game, making a Kwanzaa mkeka (woven mat), and creating Mardi Gras masks all in one place. Activities to do with friends range from starting a book group to producing an "Old-Time Radio Show," complete with sound effects. Directions for all crafts and activities are clear, thorough, systematic, and easy to understand; materials called for are readily accessible and often make use of recycled items. Black-and-white sketches appear throughout. This title would appeal to the same audience that enjoys the "American Girls Pastimes" series (Pleasant Company)-many of the activities here also have a bit of historical resonance.-Marian Drabkin, Richmond Public Library, CA (c) Copyright 2010. 《书目》(Booklist)书评
Gr. 4^-8. Crafts, games, dances, snacks, and skits are among the many outdoor and indoor activities contained in a book designed to help girls have fun and create memories together. The ideas, which are organized by seasons, include both the familiar (scavenger hunts, s'mores, and slumber-party games) and the new (producing an old-time radio show, sending e-mail messages with emoticons and three-letter acronyms). Most topics are introduced in two-page entries, including a list of supplies, clear instructions, and safety precautions. Some interesting facts, favorite Web sites, and literary quotes are scattered throughout the text. It's not hard to imagine the fun the authors, who have been best friends for years, must have had creating this practical book, which is sure to appeal not only to girls but also to parents, teachers, and others who work with girls.
