Time has stood still -- this is the Mars of the s-f fantasies of yesterday, an endless wasteland inhabited by tough pioneer Terrans, bitter natives and a god or two just to keep things lively. An earthling and his Martian blood brother, plus various retainers, go out into an ancient valley where mysterious forces provide each being with retributive justice. So-so but pleasant enough.
