Following five very brief stories for oral telling, the author then presents suggestions for 48 themed storytimes, 4 for each month, that include books, fingerplays, rhymes, a song, and a craft. The activities are designed to be assembled in 5 to 10 minutes. Many of the crafts require some preparation time by the presenter, such as copying, cutting, gluing, and taping. This book extends the author's Storytime Crafts (Alleyside, 1998), but it is not as extensive as Martha Seif Simpson and Lynne Perrigo's StoryCraft (McFarland, 2001). Libraries in which story and craft programs are popular should find some useful ideas here, particularly among novice programmers.-Kathryn Kosiorek, Cuyahoga County Public Library, Brooklyn, OH (c) Copyright 2010.
