This book presents a comprehensive look at the benefits, purpose, and general techniques of taping and wrapping for sport. Basic anatomy, injury recognition, and treatment are also discussed in relation to taping. The purpose is to provide a comprehensive guide to athletic taping/wrapping for athletes and sports medicine patients. This book serves as a functional teaching manual with specific techniques and diagrams. This in-depth look at taping allows the authors to provide information that cannot be included in general athletic training/sports medicine books. Intended for student athletic trainers, this book would also be useful to physical therapists and physicians who provide coverage for sports teams. The authors are credible and provide a multidisciplined approach. The book includes excellent, clear illustrations on anatomy, and specific, step-by-step taping/wrapping techniques. The resource/reference section is expansive with sections on common terms/definitions; reading materia ls and the athletic training profession. This is a very useful and practical book for athletic training s students and other sports medicine professionals. It provides step-by-step instructions on specific taping techniques as well as the background needed to understand the objectives/foundations of athletic taping.
