Reseña de Booklist
A former navy fighter pilot and a prominent aviation historian have collaborated to produce this valuable study of the navy's air war in Vietnam. The emphasis is on operations over North Vietnam, where the navy conducted the bulk of its operations, suffered its heaviest losses, and learned most of its lessons, including the superiority of its air-to-air fighter tactics over those of the air force. Arrangement of material is thematic rather than chronological, so some background in the general history of the war would be helpful. The book is, however, extremely readable and surprisingly frank on such matters as the late-war crisis of morale among pilots. Notes; index.
