Library Journal Review
Tyrrell, founder and editor-in-chief of The American Spectator, compares Hillary Clinton to Madame Mao, known as the white-boned demon who could assume different shapes and make people believe she was something she wasn't. The author unflatteringly describes the former First Lady as a power-hungry left-wing 1960s radical whose goal is to be President of the United States. Her agenda, according to Tyrrell, is to tear down all governmental institutions and empty them of their significance. He relies heavily on the Senator's own book, Living History, to prove his thesis. Richard Rohan does an excellent job of narrating a tale that is sometimes dry and in places so detailed that it is incomprehensible to all but the politically savvy. As such, Madame Hillary works better in print. Recommended for larger academic and public libraries.-Ilka Gordon, Medical Lib., Fairview General Hosp., Cleveland (c) Copyright 2010.
