Horn Book Review

The Greek myth about Theseus and the half-man, half-beast Minotaur, to whom the people of Athens sacrifice children every year, is a questionable choice for an easy reader. However, reluctant readers drawn in by the gory topic will be encouraged by frequent line breaks and short sentences. The textured cut-paper collage illustrations reflect the action but don't provide enough textual clues for beginning readers. (c) Copyright 2010.
