School Library Journal Review
PreS-Gr 1-Bob and his gang of anthropomorphic dump trucks, loaders, and other machines are back with five new adventures. Scarecrow Spud causes mayhem when he pretends to be a building inspector, and then tries to help a tired truck by unhitching its heavy load-at the top of a hill. The machines take on a new role in "Wendy's Moving Company," save important papers from the dump in "Speedy Skip," and help Bob and Wendy build a model train set in "Mr. Bentley's Trains." These tales exhibit all the features that make Bob and company such a hit with kids: fast-paced, simple stories, bright claymation, friendly characters, upbeat music, and a can-do attitude. A natural addition to any video collection serving preschoolers.-Kathleen Kelly MacMillan, Maryland School for the Deaf, Columbia (c) Copyright 2010.
